improve code competence
Simon Baynes – Technical Architect at HostelBookers
Due to the nature of the HostelBookers' website, it is essential that the code is as efficient as possible to ensure quick page loading times. We have used FusionReactor for monitoring as well as a tool to improve code competence.
Fighting a SQL injection attack
Aaron West – Dealerskins Development Manager
An example of a major issue that came up was with a SQL injection attack. With FusionReactor, we were able to locate the problem and stop the attack at the code level. FusionReactor allowed us to see exactly which interfaces were vulnerable so that we could effectively direct our development team to make the fixes. Being able to rapidly respond, enabled us to make sure that our end-users experienced no downtime.
We noticed that other companies hit by similar attacks experienced eight or more hours of downtime. Having FusionReactor in place helped us to maintain our reputation as a high-level service provider.

Proving SLA's
John - Lead Developer at Leading Site Management Company
I am a no nonsense type of guy. I have been fighting with a certain application but have not been able to expose why. I had suspected it was the locking method used by the application but there but I had no proof.
After downloading FusionReactor I was able to record vital application statistics that I could use to prove the application could not handle the load stated in the organizations SLA. I also exposed many SQL queries that caused long running requests and in extreme cases were bringing the front-end node down.
I sent this report to this application’s VP and have a phone conference next week to discuss moving to a new application! Years have been wasted trying to get to grips with this particular application and the decision to stop using it was made in only a few days after using FusionReactor.

Out of the dark debugging in production
Todd - Development Manager at Leading Site Management Company
I recently download FusionReactor and was pleasantly surprised. Previously, we had gone down the dark road of attaching a debugger to a production server and watched it grind to a halt. But with FusionReactor it did not do this! Our page response times were not impacted.
Now we can enjoy the benefits of debugging in production. For example we can now troubleshoot hanging pages, system load etc. in production without having to artificially generate load in a test scenario. We also pinpoint problems when they happen in production instead of trying to recreate them.
