License keys will be delivered by email following the purchase of FusionReactor. The license key will give you access to the FusionReactor software, FRAM and free FusionReactor plugins. A separate serial key is required for the FusionReactor AIR Enterprise Dashboard.
New Licenses
We offer an annual subscription license as well as a perpetual license. Since the release of FusionReactor 4, all new licenses include 12 months maintenance (updates/upgrades) commencing from the date of purchase.
Subscription License: A Subscription license will allow you to use FusionReactor for 12 months on your server. After the 12 month subscription period expires, FusionReactor will no longer continue to work. To continue to use FusionReactor you must renew your subscription.
Perpetual License: A Perpetual license works indefinitely. Once installed you may use FusionReactor on that server and the license will never expire. All new Perpetual licenses include 12 months maintenance. Maintenance entitles you to free updates and upgrades of FusionReactor. Renewing maintenance is entirely optional.
License Upgrades
You will be pleased to know that you can upgrade FusionReactor at any time. Upgrading is easy and any FusionReactor configuration info which is still on your server is preserved. Upgrades include 12 months of software maintenance commencing from the date payment is made.
Software Maintenance
All full licenses purchased, include 12 months of software maintenance (product updates and upgrades). Beyond this 12 month period, you can renew your maintenance for another 12 months at our discounted renewal prices. It is always more cost effective to purchase the maintenance rather than upgrading individual licenses if your maintenance has expired. Licensing Terms
Each physical or virtual server requires one FusionReactor license - all of the instances which are installed on that server are covered by the one FusionReactor license. So, if you have (say) 6 physical boxes, then you need 6 licenses. Note, that on a single box you may have multiple instances (ColdFusion, JRun, Tomcat, JBoss) installed on it, but you still only need 1 license for that physical box. Please also note, that if you use Virtual Machines (VM's) then these are also classed as separate physical servers and therefore require a license.
If you would like to use the FusionReactor Enterprise Dashboard functionality to be able to monitor all the servers from a single window, then you will need to take the FusionReactor Enterprise Edition on all the servers you wish to monitor. Therefore if you would like to monitor 3 servers with the FusionReactor Enterprise Dashboard you will need 3 FusionReactor Enterprise licenses.
