What is FRAM?
Brand new for FusionReactor 4.0 - FRAM provides a completely isolated instance of FusionReactor which is just for monitoring and instance management, it will continue running even following a JVM crash (of the server you're monitoring). FRAM manages and keeps track of all servers (and instances) so you can quickly and easily install FusionReactor across your environment.
FRAM is intended to be used as a dedicated monitoring server for Enterprise wide (multi-server/instance) Monitoring. Although it is advisable to install FRAM on a computer that is dedicated to monitoring (to increase the reliability of your monitoring), FRAM is usually installed on the same server as the monitored instances. Once FRAM is installed on the server being monitored you do not need to install FusionReactor, you will simply install instances of FusionReactor from the FRAM instance manager.

- REST API, allows FRAM to communicate commands and retrieve data from FusionReactor. For example - this API allows FusionAnalytics Connector to send logs to FusionReactor Administration (FRAM)
- The license for FRAM is included with FusionReactor (as long as it’s being used on the same server (see licensing))
