My FusionReactor 1.0 installation has become corrupt. When I try to uninstall it the Uninstaller fails with an error message. How can I manually clean up my system and reinstall FusionReactor?
Description
This can occur if you uninstall and then reinstall without rebooting the computer in between. To manually uninstall, follow these steps:
- Stop the ColdFusion server
- Make sure your ColdFusion server uses its own JVM. Open $CF_HOME/runtime/jre/bin/jvm.config and verify that the property java.home points to $CF_HOME/runtime/jre (the JVM coming with ColdFusion).
- Remove the FusionReactor directory.
- Open the file %WINDIR%\vpd.properties (under Linux this file is usually located in the home directory of the super user who installed FusionReactor) and remove the two lines that contain the word 'FusionReactor'
- Reboot your machine to make sure any files marked for deletion are processed
- Reinstall FusionReactor and upload your license again
If you have lines refering to FusionReactor in the web descriptor of the ColdFusion server ($CF_HOME/wwwroot/web.xml then they must be removed as well.
