[frs-331] Manually uninstalling FusionReactor v5

Background

You want to completely remove a FusionReactor installation.

When installed using the installer (GUI or Command-Line)

If you installed using the installer, you can use the un-installer (eg Programs and Features on Windows, ./uninstall on *nix). Before you do that, you should use the Instance Manager to remove FusionReactor from any instances on that server.

If for licensing or other reasons, that is not possible, you can use the manual method below first.

When installed manually (or to manually uninstall)

To remove all traces of FusionReactor from a server…

  1. Stop all instances where FusionReactor is installed
  2. Remove the -javaagent... argument from the JVM arguments of all instances (e.g. -javaagent:C:/FusionReactor/instance/cfusion.CF10.BigServer/fusionreactor.jar=name=cfusion.CF10.BigServer,address=8088)
  3. Remove the FusionReactor folder (eg /opt/fusionreactor or c:FusionReactor
  4. Start all instances

To remove FusionReactor from only a single instance…

  1. Stop instance where FusionReactor is installed
  2. Remove the -javaagent... argument from the JVM argument of the instance (e.g. -javaagent:C:/FusionReactor/instance/cfusion.CF10.BigServer/fusionreactor.jar=name=cfusion.CF10.BigServer,address=8088)
  3. Remove the FusionReactor instance folder (eg /opt/fusionreactor/instance/<instance name> or c:FusionReactorinstance<instance name>
  4. Start instance
