[frs-377] Adobe-provided SQL Server drivers / Macromedia SQL Server drivers may not return query plan results in FusionReactor

When using the Adobe-provided SQL Server driver, FusionReactor may report having a QueryPlan but it does not display the plan in the transaction details QueryPlan tab. Only the executed SQL statements are shown.

This problem is caused by the driver not returning the result set for insert statements.

Currently there is no solution for this problem when using the Adobe-provided SQL Server driver, but it is possible to use the official Microsoft SQL Server driver with ColdFusion which does not have this bug. For more information in configuring the Microsoft SQL Server driver with ColdFusion see this post.

Please be aware that changing database drivers can impact performance, stability and the data in your applications. It is advisable to carefully and throughly test before changing to different database drivers.

Note: The Adobe-provided SQL Server driver is the default for ColdFusion data sources using Microsoft SQL Server databases . It is also referred to as the Macromedia SQL Server driver sometimes.
